With Gene Hackman as a desperate producer of schlock movies, Rene Russo as a jaded, B-movie scream queen and a pre-Soprano James Gandolfini as a bearded ex-stuntman with a Southern accent, GET SHORTY wins my vote as the best comedy of its decade.
